Gorgeous. Very ornate and stylized, a style that suits the larger-than-life character very well. Like most of the JLA 'regulars', Aquaman's a superhero and *more* than a superhero; he's also an actual, political *king* -- monarch of Atlantis, ruler of the oceans -- *and* a more-or-less explicit incarnation of the sea-gods of legend and myth.
He's an archetype, not just a man -- and I think this rococo approach suggests that; an image of man into symbol. His musculature and his hair are regular, symmetrical; it's an exaggerated look, not realistic but *controlled*, and works beautifully for this character.
Also a lovely interpretation of Aquaman's colours, and the foamy-green background is exquisite. Thank-you for sharing this; I like it a great deal. It's good to see this appallingly under-developed comic character portrayed with power and dignity.
Thank you SO much for the detailed response and the keen observations! Aquaman is one of my absolute favorite characters. I was glad to give him the royal treatment that he deserves! Nothing is too good for Arthur!
